Saatli caminin yanibasinda, doyumsuz manzara ve daracik sokaklariyla, Ayvalik'i, Ayvalik'in kalbindeki bir evde yeniden kesfetmek harikaydi. Bu evdeki hic bir detayi, turkuaz boyali pencereleri, hasirdan kafesi, zeytin agaclari, limon agacini, mavi dosyayi, merakli komsulari, harika dekorasyonu ve son yaptigimiz keyifli kahvaltiyi hic unutmayacagiz. Bu arada "Sihirli Tasin Gucunu"de unutmayin :=) Sevgiler

Omur boyu surecek olan beraberligimizin ilk gunlerini yasadigimiz bu guzel tatil evinden buyuk bir memnuniyetle ayriliyoruz. Ayvalik'in tarihselligiyle ic ice olan konforlu bir evde Balayimizi gecirmek bizim icin muhtesemdi. Misafirperverliginiz ve ilginiz icin tesekkur ederiz.

Oncelikle bizi Ayvalik'a geldigimiz andan baslayarak gidinceye kadar yanliz birakmiyan sizlere cok tesekkur ederiz. Tamda hayal ettigimiz gibi bir Balayi gecirdik. Bu kadar ozunden kopmadan guzel bir ev hayal etmistik ve bekledigimiz gibide oldu. Kisa bir sure sonra gorusmek uzere guzel ev, guzel insanlar. Sizleri seviyoruz.

Yeni yila girdigimiz bu evde, pek cok guzel animiz oldu. Evde gercekten hersey dusunulmus, soguk kis gunlerimizde dokme sobanizin olmasi ayri bir guzellik vermis. Buradan ayrilmak gercekten bizim icin cok zor........Her sey icin cok cok tesekkurler.

Bircok detayin dusunuldugu bu keyifli evde guzel vakit gecirmemek mumkun degil. Hani hayatta unutulmaz gunler olurya, bu gunler guc verir insana. Benimde hayatimdan guc aldigim, yolumu cizdigim 10 gun bu sirin evde gecti ve cok mutlu oldum. Her kosesinde anilar biraktigim bu mekanda bu guzel imkanlari sundugunuz ve bu anilara vesile oldugunuz icin cok tesekkurler. Sizleri tanimaktan cok memnun oldum. Balayi tatili icin geldigimiz Ayvalik'ta bu sirin ve sevimli evde kaldik. Ilk gun bizi karsiliyan ve eve getiren Ergin Bey'in kibarligi, misafirperverligi, kulturu ve samimiyeti evin atmosferi ile butunlesmisti. Evin dizayni, rahatligi, bahcesi ve manzarasi muhtesemdi. Misafirlerin rahatligi icin hicbir detayi es gecmeyen Ergin bey ve esine tesekkur ederiz.

Burada dogmadik ama bu evde yasadiklarimizla burali olmak istedik.
Sabah kahvaltimiz, kedilerimiz, gunesin batisi, yagmurun sesi...Hepsi biz sanki cok uzun zamandir burdaymisiz gibi bizi karsiladi. Birlikte gecirdigimiz ilk tatili bizim icin essiz kildiniz.

Coming upon the internet site of Ayvalik Holiday House, we couldn't resist it's charm, so here we are. The reality surpasses the computer! When our friendly and informative hosts opened the gate, we entered into a paradise - a delightful garden filled with olive and pomegranate trees, flowers and herbs. The house itself is so delightful, having practicality blended with a sense of decor, radiating tranquility. We have spent hours on the balcony, with a superb view of the town, the bay, Lesvos and spectacular sunsets! We have wandered through the cobblestone streets and markets of Ayvalik, seeing the old Greek houses and feeling nostalgia for years gone by while enjoying interactions with the friendly people of today. Hope to return!

We found the Ayvalik Holiday House on the internet by accident and it has proved to be the best accident ever. We had such a warm and friendly greeting and the house is delightful. The weather hasn't been brilliant but it hasn't stopped us eating outside on the patio and sitting upstairs on the balcony enjoying the evening air. We have been to visit Troy, a lifelong ambition and well worth the arduous drive. Shelagh and Ergin have always been there to help, especially negotiating the narrow cobbled streets with a car - many, many thanks to you both for all your kind support. We were beginning to get worried that we would not find a special place in Turkey during our honeymoon and then we came to Ayvalik. The information folder and literature was helpful in navigating the plethora of tea houses and food shops. We will always remember this place fondly.

For me the best moments were sitting in the garden enjoying the pomegranate tree and olive trees; picking herbs for dinner and listening to the city sounds. What a wonderful home and a fabulous place to stay and relax, eat, cook and get to know Turkey. Watching the sunsets from the balcony (and lowering down the basket to collect baklava and cigarettes) before heading out to try all manner of delicious Turkish food is something we cannot, sadly, transport back to London. We particularly enjoyed Cunda Island and your restaurant recommendation - and we are heading there again tomorrow before we head back home, to grow fat on the highly addictive peppers stuffed with shrimp! We would very much like to stay again and explore more of Turkey. You have thought very carefully and kindly about how to make this house a home for your guests and for that we thank you.
