Our delightfully renovated, detached Ayvalik Holiday House with private garden, has been furnished with care and attention to detail to create the maximum utilisation of the romantic, cosy interior and is perfectly suited to discerning couples on a self catering basis.
Rental Rate for Ayvalik Holiday House 55.00 Euros per night, for 2 people only - the perfect honeymoon hideaway.
May to October, minimum 4 nights; Rest of the year, minimum 2 nights.
Ayvalik Holiday House is located in the old quarter of Ayvalik, just behind Taksiyarkis Church and within five minutes walk through the crisscrossed narrow cobbled streets, lined with Ottoman-Greek houses to the centre of the town. Here you will experience everyday Turkish life at its richest.
Our beautiful Greek stone house provides a truly relaxing environment and an extraordinary insight into the fusion of traditional Turkish/Greek everyday life and values.
Ayvalik Holiday House is situated on three and a half levels;
The top floor comprises one double bedroom with en suite and access through French windows to the balcony which offers stunning views of Ayvalik and the sea towards Cunda Island (Alibey) and beyond to the Greek island of Mytilini (Lesvos).
A pine staircase leads down to the mezzanine level with solid pine beam and floorboards covered with authentic kilims. This comfortable sitting area also includes a cast iron wood and coal burning stove which provides a warm, snug and romantic environment during the autumn and winter months.
A second pine staircase takes you down to the split level, pine beamed and slate floored, fully equipped kitchen/diner and second shower and wc.
French doors lead out to the private garden - a haven of peace and tranquility, (bar the call of the Muezzin, of course!), providing space to cook and eat al fresco. Shade is provided by the grapevine covered seating and dining area. Or enjoy the sunshine and sea view in deckchairs on the raised terrace, caressed by the branches of the sunken olive tree. The garden offers a variety of herbs for your culinary delight, as well as lemon and pomegranate trees and of course the quintessential Turkish roses.
Ayvalik Holiday House is only for two people and unfortunately is not suitable for the infirm, children or pets.
